Prize “Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh” (or Ibni Prize)
The Prize “Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh” has been created in memory of our colleague and to
continue its commitment to Mathematics in Africa.
The Prize “Ibni Oumar Mahamat Saleh” is awarded annually by a scientific committee set up by CIMPA. It will allow a student of an institution of Central Africa or West Africa (*), in mathematics or statistics, at the graduate or post-graduate level, to benefit from a scientific training in a country other than his/her own.
The visit will typically last three months. It will be done in a laboratory/department of Mathematics or Statistics. The host should be sufficiently well equipped so that the training can be done in satisfactory condition, under the guidance of a supervisor.
